Nikola Jambor #IsRed !

Nikola Jambor has been officially announced today as the latest midfielder for Selangor FC after his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) was approved, allowing him to join the Red Giants for the 2024/2025 Malaysia League season. 

Better known as Niko, he started his professional career at 19 with NK Koprivnica in Croatia. He made a notable impact at Slaven Belupo Koprivnica, where he played 66 matches over two seasons and helped the team achieve second-place in the Croatian Cup in 2015/16.  

The 28-year-old player has played in several countries throughout his career, including Belgium, Portugal, and Saudi Arabia. Rio Ave FC, a club in Portugal, is where he made the most appearances, playing 51 matches from 2018 to 2021. Additionally, he also made 27 appearances with Hajer FC during one season in Saudi Arabia. His extensive experience is expected to provide valuable support to the team as they compete in the Malaysia League and ACL2 2024/25.

According to Niko, he didn't think twice about joining Selangor FC after hearing the offer from his agent.

"I received a call from my agent about an offer that caught my full attention. The club's plans are well-structured and align with my objectives and mission, making it hard to refuse. I am really excited to join this new family and work towards the same goals," he said.

Nidzam Jamil, the head coach of Selangor FC, believes that Niko's presence will bring strong competition in the midfield. "I am sure Nikola will provide high competition, especially in the midfield of the team. This competition will positively impact the team as we face challenges in the Malaysia League and ACL Two this season."
